Oksana graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2022. She started her career as a Behaviour Therapist at Autism Services of Saskatoon, working with young individuals with Autism. She then worked as a Case Management Support Counsellor for Newcomers at Saskatoon Open Door Society before joining Family Service Saskatoon as a Counsellor. In this role, she provided counselling and support to children, youth and their caregivers within the Saskatoon community.
Oksana is dedicated to keeping up with new trainings and certifications to help best support her clients. She is certified in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Mental Health First Aid, and Trauma-Informed Care. She has taken The “ASK” Workshop, Brain Story, Helping Children on the Autism Spectrum and Play Therapy training. Oksana has also taken online training/webinars to further her understanding of therapeutic approaches like CBT, AttachmentTheory, and mindfulness.
Oksana’s lifelong passion lies in supporting others with a trauma-informed approach. She thrives on forging connections, building rapport, and meeting clients where they are on their therapeutic journey. Oksana seamlessly integrates aspects of Mindfulness, CBT, Person- Centred, Attachment Theory, Strength-Based Approach, and Play-Based Therapy (For younger clients) into her practice. Her counselling space is designed as a safe, comfortable haven, free of judgment, adorned with toys, games, art supplies, and cozy seating to ensure a welcoming environment for all.
When she is not working in the office, you can find Oksana at the dog park with her dog Mylo, spending time with her friends and family, or drinking a delicious latte at a local coffee shop. If she ever needs a pick me up after a long day, you can find Oksana watching her favourite TV show Friends or any reality TV show filled with drama.

Favorite song and/or artist: Latch by Disclosure and Sam Smith. I swear I am this song’s most listened person.
Favorite movie: Toy Story if it is animated. If not, I would say My Big Fat Greek Wedding!
Favorite way to take care of herself: Go for a walk with Mylo or get a nice and relaxing massage.
Favorite season and why: Fall. I love seeing the leaves turn colour, especially by the river. Also watching my puppy roll around in piles of leaves.
